IMF Loan, which stores money in its bank account similarly to its preceding upgrade Monkey Bank, does not have a real targeting priority. The IMF Loan offers greater capability to handle money, from a larger bank account, to the capability to loan a sum of cash at the drawback of debt, and the capability to deposit money (available only via Bank Deposits). Bottom Path crosspathing adds wooden, then cyan crates with a banana logo at the front of the building. Top Path crosspathing adds grey/gold stones around the foundation. On the roof is a banana logo attached to a semicircular extension, as well as a small metal chimney.

IMF Loan is a large blue-grey office building with yellow windows and a small entrance flanked by grey stone pillars, with steps leading up to the actual doorway. Note the cash gain and the accompanied debt 2.2.5 Income earning per round (pre-11.0).2.2.1 Income earning per round (35.0-Present).This upgrade costs $6,375 on Easy, $7,500 on Medium, $8,100 on Hard, and $9,000 on Impoppable. IMF Loan's ability is not affected by any income-increasing buffs such as Monkey City. The ability can only be used up to two times per round per IMF Loan, unless sold and rebought. Like all income-only abilities, IMF Loan can only be used a limited number of times per round and the ability is unusable after 3 minutes since the start of a round. The activated ability has a cooldown time of 90 seconds, and additionally cannot be used until the loan is entirely paid off.

IMF Loan abilities can still be activated while the player is in debt, but each subsequent IMF Loan ability usage gives only $4,500 usable credit ($6,000 with Backroom Deals) and $4,500 additional debt ($4,000 with Backroom Deals), as 50% (40%) of each subsequent loan goes toward paying off previous loans, and therefore has no effect. When in debt, 50% of the player's earnings go into paying it off gradually (cost of 40% earnings with Backroom Deals). In addition to a bigger bank capacity of $10,000 ($12,500 with the Bigger Banks MK), the IMF Loan has an activated ability where, upon activation, the player is loaned $9,000 ($10,000 with Backroom Deals), at the cost of accruing debt. IMF Loan is the fourth upgrade of Path 2 for the Banana Farm in Bloons TD 6. I personally prefer the 2|4, but this site is for answers, not discussions.IMF Loan ability: Gives you $9,000 but you have to pay it back over time. The 2|4 will produce some quickly, the 4|2 will produce more after a longer period of time. In short, The 2|4 farm is for short term investments, and the 4|2 farm is for long term investments. After the same 7 rounds, it will be $2400 short of paying itself back, but it produces a constant $3000 each round wich quickly adds up and will be very beneficial for late-round gameplay. The 4|2 farm is a lot more expensive, and cannot be paid back as fast, but if it is purchased early on, it can have a positive effect on gameplay. The 2|4 will pay for itself sooner, however, the funds are not as sufficient as the 4|2. It produces $1180 each round with a 20% interest rate after the round, which is a little bit more than half what the 4|2 produces, but, after 7 rounds after acquisition (assuming you haven't withdrawn) it will have payed itself back and produce $2300. The 2|4 farm is cheaper, and can be bought and paid back sooner.
